1941--JEWISH SOLDIERS WHO RECEIVED AWARDS AND MEDALS

In the Russian language book,"Feats of Jewish Soldiers In Battle" (in 1941)by FD Sverdlov, 303 Jewish soldiers who received awards and medals are noted. The honors were awarded to the WWII soldiers from approximately July 22, 1941-May 8, 1942 ( a few were awarded later)The information is based primarily on archival documents.The book can be downloaded at:

The table of contents lists the recipients' names in alphabetical order (Russian alphabet). Most of the information includes year of birth, position in the military, the award date, the name of the decree, the battle field, the date of death (if killed), post war occupation, etc.
