"HOLOCAUST CELLAR" ROMANIA


IN “THE BASEMENT OF THE HOLOCAUST” or “HOLOCAUST CELLAR”

The first center for the study of the Holocaust in Romania was opened on May 18, 2014 in Sighet in the house where Nobel laureate, Elie Wiesel, spent his childhood. The article continues, giving a brief history of the Nazi collection and destruction of Jews of Maramures County (Transylvania). Credit is given to those who made it possible for the center, a part of the Wiesel Museum, to become a reality.
