Odessa governor regarding the organization of emigration from Russia—
“Emigration from Russia to overseas countries
will be allowed to continue only through Bremen-English port.”
April 30, 1894 Jewish Families emigrated from
Russia to Argentina on the steamer, Bosfora.

January 1895
The Argentine colonists, former natives of
Tauride province, went to Argentina in 1894. Upon arrival, they saw terrible
conditions, disliked the climate, & did not take foreign citizenship. They received approval to return to Russia, arriving in Odessa
in early November, where they were arrested, pending the settlement provisions
by the Ministry of Interior.
