English, translated from the original Polish.
According to the introduction: “This book refers to the
hardest period of time concerning Jews from Kielce, the time of the War and
occupation, when Germans murdered most of Jews with full premeditation and
intent, and appropriated their belongings…As the invaders way of treatment in
relation to Polish people was very severe, the help was not realized in the
extent that would provide for the Jewish people’s needs…Poland was the only
occupied country in Europe where any sign of help for Jews was punished with
death… It was not an empty threat.”
