THE LADOS LIST: 3,262 "Passports of Life"

According to the description, "The Lados List is the first attempt to recreate the names of the holders of documents which have been symbolically called, 'passports of life'...was published by the Pilecki Institute...in cooperation with the Jewish Historical Institute, the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and the Institute of National Remembrance....searched many archives, including Bad Arolsen, Yad Vashem, and the Archives of Modern Records in Warsaw....Lados List shows that 24-45% of Jews with forged documents from Paraguay, Honduras, Haiti or Peru survived the Holocaust...the Lados group helped Jews from various European countries, but most of the identified passports were issued to people from...Poland, the Netherlands, and Germany.... despite the confirmation of 3,262 names, another 5-7,000 remain unknown...."

The information includes: names, country (where applicant was associated), birth year, location (either the place of birth or the place where the applicant was residing.The information was ambiguous), document, fate (survived or perished).

Towards the bottom of the page, there are two copies available to download from the following website, one in English and one in Polish. The site itself is in Polish. Us an online translator to convert the descriptive information to a language of your choice.:
