The information contains lists of Jews under age 25 living in Presnenskaya, Sretenskaya, Rogozhskaya, Tverskaya, Pyatnitskaya, Yakimanskaya, Serpukhovskaya, Prechistenskaya, Arbatskaya, Myasnitskaya, Meshchanskaya & the City.

Jews appear in this fund because from 1874 universal military service was required for all men, regardless of religion or class. It includes both permanent residents of Moscow & temporary ones.

The original document includes person's native province & county, rank, names (first, patronymic, last), age, document authenticity, any additional audit reports or changes since 1871 filings.

There are some sample pages of the original; the listings are mostly surnames. Information is in Russian Cyrillic. Use your preferred online translator as needed.
