This is an excellent site for those with an interest in the Russian Jewish military,
The site is in Russian but you can easily translate it using an online translator such as Google Translate.
There are full names, photos, birth/death years, medals, awards, doctors, female participants in combat, KIA, veterinarians, athletes, those who escaped from captivity, military school graduates, mountain jews, Russian Imperial Army (soldiers, generals, officers), saboteurs & partisans, Marines, Navy, Paratroopers, Air Force, heroes, young participants in WWII & more.

ReplyDeleteI am looking for some information about my unkle Vainer Semen Solomonovich, a solgier who vanished in Belarus, in 1941. He was in the army from 1939, I am looking for a grave infomation, and exact location. I just have information from the army what my GD recieved , that he vanished. Thanks for any information.
