IS THERE A CONNECTION: WWII "SOUVENIR" & VILNA SCHOOL GRADUATE?

An article entitled, "Ebay's Sick Trade in Holocaust Souvenirs: Outrage Over Auctions of Death Camp Relics" (Daily Mail Online, Nov. 3, 2013) includes photos of  death camp items  from the Holocaust era that had been on sale. One of the photographs is of a piece of  battered luggage inscribed with the former owner's name: Samuel BAK, and a date, January 23, 1900. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2485251/Ebays-sick-trade-Holocaust-souvenirs-Outrage-auctions-Death-Camp-relics.html.

Last night, while reading a list of Vilna School graduates, I found the name, Samuel BAK, silver medal winner, who attended Vilna's 1st Gymnasium, graduating in 1898. I wonder if there is a family connection between the two Samuel BAK's, or is it just a coincidence?? What do you think??
