THE ALEXANDER FAMILY
The
history of the Alexander family from Burgenland can be found in a journal article, A
Short Chronicle of the Alexander
Family… (“Obitelj Alexander iii kratka kronika".
izbrisanog
vremena) by Ivan Mirnik. The family’s foundation was Jewish, but through the
years there were many conversions to Catholicism and Protestantism. . It is
written in Croatian, but even if you cannot read the language, you can easily
follow the family tree, which is included in the article.
Some
of the family names are: Rubin Planer Naschitz, Pollak, Weiss, Spitzer, Stern,
Ungar, Grunwald, Eisner, et al.
My
thanks to Karen Ordanic who informed me about this Journal article.
